After having been close to doing so last week, and even closer the week before, Víðir finally managed to set a new personal record in the Self-Transcendence 2 mile Tjarnarhlaup race on May 24.

It could have been anticipated that Víðir would improve on his year's best, 16:07 - set on March 8 - sooner or later.  Víðir, however, went much further, and, in the end, he had not only set a new year's best, but had also improved on his all-time best, 15:52, which had stood virtually unchallanged since October 12 last year.  In fact, Víðir improved this record by 50 seconds, making his new personal best 15:02.  Congratulations, Víðir!  You can read more about Víðir's road to the record here.

Víðir's success took himself quite by surprise.  However, this is yet another example of how everything is possible so long as you have the will to do so, a fact that Sri Chinmoy has stressed in his running philosophy.

Upajukta also ran, and is slowly getting back to shape.  He now ran at 17:15, which is almost a minute better than last week.

Results:
  1. Víðir 15:02
  2. Upajukta 17:15
